Our Story

ForTheWards was born from a simple observation: medical students and residents need more opportunities to practice difficult conversations before facing them with real patients. Traditional role-play exercises are valuable, but they're limited by instructor availability, standardized patient costs, and the artificial nature of practicing with peers.

Founded in 2024 by a team of physicians, educators, and technologists, we set out to create something different: AI-powered simulations that feel real, scale infinitely, and provide personalized feedback to every learner.

Today, ForTheWards serves medical schools and residency programs across the country, helping thousands of learners build confidence in their communication skills before those skills matter most—at the bedside.
